What is the current lodging tax in Hinsdale County? Hinsdale County collects a 2% lodging tax for marketing and advertising of tourism, which was established in 1992.
Who collects lodging tax? All lodging properties, such as lodges, cabins, motels, and vacation rentals, in the county, collect lodging tax from their guests.
Who pays lodging tax? Guests who stay overnight for fewer than 30 days) in Hinsdale County pay the lodging tax. Residents do not pay lodging tax.
What is the proposed tax increase in Hinsdale County? The proposed tax increase is an additional 4%, totaling a 6% lodging tax.

Hinsdale County Early Childhood (HCECC) - 1%
